TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS

Hillsborough are this season’s Sheffield Union of Golf Clubs Team Champions after winning a closely contested event at Wath Golf Club.

The team, made up of Edward Towning, Steve Challand, Adam Denton and Greg Denton notched up a total two round score of 592 beating Phoenix who came runners up with 596. Third placed was the home team Wath, the leaders after 18 holes, with 597.

The second round saw the leader board alternate between the three before Hillsborough sealed victory.

Dean Longden of Phoenix had the best individual score with two rounds of 71.
