SICKLEHOLME WIN SECOND TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

Sickleholme proved unbeatable on their home turf in the Second Team Championship on Sunday returning a score of ten shots better than second placed Hillsborough.

The Sickleholme team of Chris Goddard, Chris Maw and Andy Oxley  scored 230 which proved too strong for the field which featured teams from 26 Sheffield Union affiliated clubs.

Chris Goddard scored 77 but it was teammate Chris Maw who took the honours with an excellent round of 73. His score for the Championship helped secure victory for Sicklehome and Chris also won the Second Teams Individuals winning The Executive Trophy.

The annual Second Team Championship is open to players with handicaps between 6-12.
