HILLSBOROUGH WIN AITCHISON TROPHY

The four man team consisting of Oliver Hague, Peter Wells, Stephen Manley and Shaun Towning (pictured below) with Better Ball scores of 43 points and 38 points, giving them an aggregate score of 81 points, beat Tankersley Park into 2nd place and the home club of Chesterfield finished 3rd.

The Chesterfield course was presented in imaculate condition, the greens were in excellent condition with a fairly slick pace, which may have accounted for some of the low scoring on the day, however, all competitors praised the green staff for their excellent preparation of the course.

The Sheffield Union thank Chesterfield Members for giving up their Saturday morning to allow this competition to be hosted by the Club.
