GOOD FINISH TO THE SEASON

A close match played in glorious sunshine at the Oaks Golf Club which was enjoyed by competitors and supporters.

Sheffield had the perfect start leading in all but 2 games and the 8 - 4 half time result did not reflect the closeness of the competition.

The singles commenced in the opposite position with York being ahead in 9 matches.  They were further encouraged by not 1, but 2 holes in one!

Sheffield proved their resolve with some good comebacks and their strength in depth managed to nudge them ahead to take the game 20 - 16.

The players and management wish to thank the Union and its Executive for their support throughout the season.
