Sheffield 26 – 10 Leeds
Once again a match where the final result indicates a comfortable victory, but whilst many matches were won by large margins others were hard fought to the eighteenth green.

The morning foursomes saw some remarkable scoring with one match registering 7 birdies and an eagle in a 2-up victory for Sheffield, who enjoyed a comfortable 10 – 2 points lead at lunchtime.

Afternoon singles were keenly contested with Leeds having the best of the early exchanges, and Sheffield only registering one win in the first six matches, but despite Leeds players holing some remarkable putts Sheffield were able to triumph in five of the final six matches.
