JUNIOR YIDU TEAM WIN AGAIN

The SUGC juniors hosted the East Riding at Lees Hall and won 28 – 8 with the score not reflecting the closeness of the matches

A heavy defeat for the opening pair was soon wiped out by wins for Schmidt/Rollitt 4/3 and Aldridge/Marks 3/2 a situation quickly redressed by a defeat in the fourth match the final two pairs of Silman/Johnson and Snook/Butcher both winning 5/3 meant we lunched at 8 – 4

The afternoon singles were hard fought with the result of many of the matches being in doubt up to the final holes. There were wins for Kyle Johnson Rolfe 5/4 (almost eagled the first and stared with 3 birdies), Jack Aldridge 2/1, Loui Goff 4/2, Joel Johnson 3/2, debutante Kenna Liversidge (on his home course) winning 8/7, Evan Snook 2up (undefeated in four starts) along with Jonty Butcher 1up (after at one stage being 4up, Brandon Swords 1 up and Aston Rollitt 1up and Luke Schmidt and Isaac Marks finishing tight games all square meaning the afternoon singles were won 20 – 4

An excellent team performance against a rebuilding East Riding who will be a force in the near future.
