JUNIORS OFF TO WINNING START

SUGC Juniors travelled to Woodhall Hills to play the Bradford Juniors and came away with a 26 – 10 victory

The Sheffield team included 2 debutants in Ashton Rollitt (Lees Hall) and Brandon Swords (Waterfront)

The morning foursomes was a 8 – 4 victory with wins for Whaley/Swords 2/1, Aldridge/Marks 7/5, Goff/Gill 5/4 and Silman/Johnson also 7/5

Ion the afternoon singles team captain Jack Whaley was paired with his Yorkshire foursomes colleague Spencer Datciewicz which ended all square for one point each. Isaac Marks fought out a halved game with Callum Thompson and there were victories for Sam Ford, Luke Schmidt, Jack Aldridge, Loui Goff, Harrison Gill, Joel Johnson, Ashton Rollitt, and Brandon Swords the singles score being 18 – 6.

Some exceptional golf was played by both teams and it was a good opening win for the SUGC
