SHEFFIELD OPEN

If we had listened to the weather forecast the competition would have never started, but everyone managed to get around the beautifully turned out Hickleton Course in the dry. Teeing off first, and leading from the front the Sheffield Open Champion for 2019 was local amateur Luke Palmowski who came in with a terrific 2 under par 69. In second place on countback from Doncaster Professional Graham Clarke was Abbeydale’s Tim Brind with 73

As leading amateur Luke also won the Hughes Cup, and as leading professional Graham picked up the Lockwood Salver.

Luke will shortly be going back to the US to continue his golf development and we wish him well for the future.

As Luke will miss our annual prize presentation, our President took the opportunity to do the honours on the day......
