TURNER SHIELD 2019

With an impressive field of old and young international and county players it would need a good score to win the Turner Shield at the home club of our President Alan Marriott. So, step up Barclay Brown, making a rare SUGC appearance paired with his Hallamshire partner, assistant James Brooks. Together they returned an impressive 3 under par 67 to take the trophy.

In second place was Wortley pair of Lewis Gill and Will Hawksworth with a par 70, and in third place were the 2018 winners Lee Hopwood and Luke Palmowski from Hickleton with 71.

Thanks to all those taking part and to Wath Golf Club for the course preparation and as always superb catering.
