JUNIOR STROKE PLAY CHAMPIONSHIP

With the weather set fine, the Lees Hall course in terrific condition and the best turn out in years we were set for a great day’s golf. Well the boys didn’t disappoint (sadly no girls) but it was Waterfront’s Luca Houlgate having a day off from being Ben Schmidt’s bag man who eagled the 18th on his way to an impressive 1 under par 70 to become the Junior Champion for 2019 and holder of the “Tupling Trophy”. Second place went to our junior team captain Jack Wilson on 73.

The best net prize went to home player Ashton Rollitt on 67 with inform Jack Greaves (Hallowes) second on 69 (BB9)

The winner of the Under 14 Championship Trophy was Doncaster’s Kyle Johnson-Rolfe with 81.

Congratulations to the winners and well done to all those taking part, particularly the higher handicap lads who despite recording some high individual hole scores kept on going to post a score, which is credit to them and will be good experience for the future.
