JID WIN NO.4

After some very mixed weather on Saturday the Hallamshire course was in magnificent condition on Sunday to host the JID match against Bradford. Following on from our senior teams win last Sunday the junior squad were in no mood to let their opening winning streak come to an end, and again produced a great all-round team performance. The morning foursomes went smoothly to give us a 12 – 0 start, pick of the matches has to be Max Reynolds & Tom Slattery’s 10 & 8 victory. The afternoon singles carried on in the same vein resulting in a 19 – 5 win and an overall score of 31 – 5.

“Man” of the match was Luke Schmidt who although being a last minute stand in won his foursomes partnering another younger brother Brandon Perry, and came back from 4 down to win his singles match 2 & 1.
