QUEEN'S JUBILEE VICTORY FOR HALLOWES

Halllowes was victorious in the annual Queen's Jubliee competition hosted by Wortley Golf Club with the lowest nett score of 119, pipping Hillsborough with 121 and Lees Hall one shot behind on a dreary rainy day.
The Hallowes team, picture below with Union president Dennis Clarke, was made up of two father and sons - Perry and Lewis Siddals with Neil and Tyler Upton.
 
The Queen's Jubliee Trophy is an Am-Am stroke play team event off handicap competition contested by the clubs in the union. Winners are those with the lowest net score  with the best two to count at each hole. Surplus funds are donated each year to local charities.
