Seniors & Veterans Championship Results

The weather was perfect, the course immaculate and with a field of golfers totalling over 2000 years of age the Seniors & Veterans Championship proved to be a very successful day.

The Seniors Champion with a score of 77 gross was Graham Dobbs of Rotherham, runner up was Andrew Collings (Wortley) 78 gross. Also from Rotherham was Veterans Champion Trevor Tate with a score of 79 gross, runner up David Slingsby (Hallowes) 80 gross.

The winners & runners up (excluding the above) of the Net stroke play competition for each of 4 age bands were…

55 – 59  1^st I Ward (Hallamshire) 74net, 2nd John White (Hillsborough) 74net

60 – 64  1^st S Chatterjee (Hallamshire) 71net;  2^nd I Hughes (Doncaster) 73net

65 – 69  1^st M Smith (Lindrick) 75net; D Robinson (Rotherham) 75net

70+       1^st D Lythe (Abbeydale) 72net;  2^nd B Drew (Hallowes) 73net
