Banning Cup ~ Tinsley Park GC

Tinsley Park Golf Club will be hosting their annual Banning Cup competition on Saturday 20^th June 2015.  This year the event will be sponsored by Artisan Stone.

This magnificent cup was presented to the club by Captain Fred Banning in 1921 and is played as a 36 hole competition under medal and handicap conditions. The winner of the cup being the best 36 holes nett, with the Ledger Trophy being presented to the best 36 holes gross, along with many other quality prizes.

With a maximum field of 74 players, the competition is open to members of clubs affiliated to the Sheffield Union of Golf Clubs, with a handicap of 12 and under and is a test of concentration and endurance.
