LEWIS RHODES - JUNIOR CHAMP OF CHAMPIONS

Beauchief’s Lewis Rhodes is the Sheffield Union’s Junior Champion of Champions for 2014 after coming home with a tremendous one over par 72 gross off his 10 handicap.

Lewis, pictured above with junior organiser Dave Hall, beat runner up Danny Cox from Sitwell Park by one shot in the 18-hole strokeplay competition played off scratch.

Bailey Gill of Lindrick was 3rd with 75.

The event was staged at Abbeydale GC today in very good playing conditions on a course set up to the host club’s normal high standards.
