INTER-CLUB FOURSOMES KO FINALISTS REVEALED

The finalists were all finally sorted (a feat in itself considering the recent weather!) on Monday Evening. ALL the matches were close and ended in 2-1 margins.

Wheatley overcame Sitwell Park at Doncaster and as Steve Fox (Wheatley Professional) stated to me last week "We are hoping it is just like the buses, it takes all these years to win this trophy and now it looks as if we could make the final twice in two years"

You were right Steve, BUT can you go on and win it as you did in 2011?

Certainly Sickleholme will not be turning up at Lindrick on Monday 27th August (Bank Holiday Monday) at 3pm, just for a game!!!

It should be a great final, good luck to both teams.

The SALVER competition is in it's inaugral year and it appears to have been well received by the member clubs, especially Bondhay and Owston Hall, who will contest the final at Lindrick on the same time and date.

Bondhay edged out newcomers to the Union, Waterfront at Abbeydale and Owston Hall enjoyed a similar result against Hallamshire at Rotherham.

Once again congratulations to both Clubs and they are both delighted to have a "second chance" as first round losers from the main tournament. Good luck to both teams and i look forward to seeing as many members as possible supporting their teams at the final.
