Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) was implemented in all EU countries as of the 25th May 2018.

This imposes stricter conditions for companies collecting, storing, and managing individuals’ data.

At the Sheffield Union, we hold securely a variety of information and content pertaining to the running of our competitions.  This includes contact information, including addresses, telephone numbers and email addresses.

NB this information is never given to any 3rd party companies with the exception of data required for the process of updating handicaps where applicable.

Members have a right to access their data either by logging in to their details online or via the Secretary, and have it changed or erased at any time.

Members can withdraw that consent at any time and the information held will be erased.

Members have the right to complain if they feel their information has been use in an incorrect way

In order for us to retain your data and contact you regarding Union events, competition status including start-sheets, course conditions, results etc, it is important to give us your permission to do so.

Therefore, can you please let us know by contacting the office if you do NOT wish to receive notifications from the Union.
