SHEFFIELD OPEN

With the weather being slightly better for the early starters it was no surprise that we quickly had a 4 way tie all on 69, however half way through the day Tom Stanley from Wath came in with a magnificent 4 under par 67 which with the weather deteriorating would prove enough to win the championship and as leading amateur the Hughes Cup. In second place was Sickleholme's Oli Smith with the best of the 69's on countback from Luke Palmowski. Leading professional was Mark Allen who's 69 on countback was enough to edge out Jigger Thomson and win the Lockwood Salver.
