SHEFFIELD PLATE

On a bright and breezy day the Hallamshire course in magnificent condition proved a tough challenge for the 2018 entrants. In the end it was local man and Plate regular Julian Wood to claim the beautiful silver salver. Teeing off first at 07.30 he literally led from the front, his first round 1 under par 70 followed by a second round 72 gave him a 1 shot victory over last years winner Ben Sardo of Moor Allerton, with Hallowes Robert Wragg third on 144.
