After seeing off York Juniors in their first match a little over a week ago, Sheffield were once again quickly into their stride and went into lunch leading by 10 points to 2 having won four of the morning foursomes matches and halving the other two.

In the afternoon, the Sheffield youngsters continued their barrage of top class golf and some big wins went on to the score sheet with Nathan Fell (Lees Hall GC pictured above) leading the way with an emphatic 7 & 5 victory over his opponent, followed by Aaron Nairn(Rotherham) with a 6 & 5 victory,  Lewis Thompson (Wath GC) with a 6 & 4 win, and not far behind were Ben Brewster (Bawtry GC) plus Guy Winstanley and Jordan Smith both from Wheatley Golf Club.

This dominant display in both the foursomes and singles matches meant that Sheffield finished up worthy winners by an overall score of 31 points to 5 against an East Riding side that had more than a sprinkling of low handicap golfers.

Next up for Sheffield Juniors is yet another home match against old rivals from the Leeds Golf Union at Renishaw Park on Sunday 6th May.
