TASKERS TROPHY

Congratulations to Hillsborough's over'50's team who won this years TASKERS TROPHY by beating Lutterworth GC, in the final played at Wollaton Park GC, Nottingham last Sunday.

After battling through six previous rounds, the team that emerged victorious were David Grocutt (Capt), Pete Stead, Roy Hamilton, Nigel Crapper, Terry Wood, Gary Vernon and David Butler, who as anchor man secured the victory by winning his match at the first extra hole.  

Congratulations also go to Beauchief for reaching the finals day where they were runners-up in the Taskers Plate.

Junior golf will benefit as a result of Taskers' continued sponsorship of this annual event. SUGC President Designate Jeff Roden attended the prize presentation to receive a cheque for the development of Junior Golf within the Union. This year over 99.95% of all entry fees have been given back to grass roots junior golf development.
