WIN NUMBER 5

Friday saw our unbeaten Junior Inter-District team heading north for a tough match against Teeside.

The home side were a man down so Sheffield started with 2 points, but the lads from Teeside really went to town and won the morning session 7 - 5 restricting our side to 1 win and 1 half.

Although the weather threatened all day there were only a few showers to contend with and Sheffield produced a terrific response in the afternoon singles with the rear guard winning 6 out of the last 7 matches with the 7th a half.

Another new star man Tom Broadley from Birley Wood won 8&6 in his singles match, other notable single results where Tom Slatery from Sitwell Park winning 7&6 and Oliver Sullivan of Phoenix winning 5&3 

So its 5 wins out of 5 for the Junior squad, next up is an away match at Normanton against Leeds on 14^th August.
