OPEN CHAMPION

This time the Hallowes course was flooded with sunshine not rain and Wath's Nick Poppleton (Amateur) returned a 4 under par 67 to become the 2016 Sheffield Open Champion. He also collected the Hughes Cup as leading amateur. In second place playing on his home course was Sam Bairstow who shot 71, and third also on 71 was Tankersley's Sam Rook.

Jason Ripley (74) picked up the Lockwood Salver for best professional score.
