OUR JUNIORS TO REPRESENT ENGLAND IN SPAIN

Two of our young golfers have been selected to represent England in a mixed U16 international later this month.

Current Sheffield Plate holder Barclay Brown of Hallamshire and Rotherham’s Charlie Daughtrey are part of the group of eight teenagers who will play in the annual U16 England v Spain international, at Centro Nacional de Golf Madrid on May 21 and 22.

Barclay (pictured below) aged 15, had a string of high finishes in major U16 championships last year and followed up this season with 11th place in the Peter McEvoy Trophy.

Charlie also 15, (below) was ninth in last year’s North of England U16 boys and had a top 20 finish in this season’s Peter McEvoy Trophy.

The other players in the groups are James Cooper of Wiltshire, Annabell Fuller of Surrey, Harry Goddard of Hertfordshire, Lily May Humphreys of Essex, Ebonie Lewis of Gloucestershire and Mimi Rhodes of Somerset.
