JOHN WOOD MEMORIAL

The John Wood Memorial Trophy competition for 2014, contested by members of the Union’s executive and past presidents was won by Andy Waple (Hallamshire).

Andy, pictured below, with President Martin Brewis and executive member and event organiser Steve Bell, notched 37 points during the competition staged at Silkstone Golf Club. Runner up was Stan Madden, (Lees Hall) 34 points, beating the union’s treasurer Richard Clarke (Stocksbridge) on countback.
